Delmas Drum and Engineering which is a fully BEE compliant company was indirectly born 18 years ago by it's previous owned company Cliff's Way Engineering (Pty) Ltd which concentrated on machining of general engineering components, fabrications and reconditioning of coal mining components for Continuous Miners, Shuttle Car components and Dragline components which also had it's own fabrication shop. It was later decided by Cliffs Way Engineering to extend its manufacture of components into the Aerospace Industry. It therefore decided to sell a portion of it's company to Delmas Drum and Engineering (Pty) Ltd which now concentrates on the manufacture of finished machined components for the general mechanical engineering industry, concentrating mainly on the coal mining equipment such as, components for Continuous Miners, Shuttle Cars, Draglines and fabrications thereof. We are known for our excellent precision machining ability, such as shaft coupling housing, special bolts, drive shafts, hydraulic components, gears, and of course medium heavy fabrication which we then machine on our boring mills and CNC machine centres and NC lathes. We are able to boast that we offer a service in our inspection department with our own 3D inspection machine, which confirms our ability to supply precision components.
