Who must submit Skills Development Plans?

Skills Development1. Who must submit?

  • If a company has staff registered for PAYE AND;
  • The annual payroll exceeds R500 000 per annum THEN;
  • The company must register with SARS and pays a skills levy of 1% of the monthly payroll.

2. Why Submit?

A portion of your hard earned money spent on training your employees can be claimed back from the SETA through this process. SETA's pay the money spent back to companies in order for them to re-invest the funds in training during the next period.

 

3. B-BBEE

  • All companies have to submit their WSP's and ATR's in order to claim points for the Skills Development Element

4. Cut off Date

All information should be submitted by the 31st of March 2017.
